Liminality

In liminality, I find solace.
Never quite here or there, but somewhere in between.
Neither coming nor going, but being.
In this sort of permanent transience, I have dwelt commonly.
Uncommon is the company here.
When you exist in the space between the page turns of a book;
the anticipation before perception...
you can't quite guess what's next,
and that's terrifying.
I am the haunting, as if Kairos became flesh.
I embody the space between a breath in and the exhale,
the great Pause Between Things.
That's where I'll be.
Find me, if only for a moment
and it'll be worth remembering.
 When time decides to stop,
I'll be waiting for you there.
